SOP: Granting Access

Follow these steps to add me as a user so I can help manage your profile.

Before you start

- Account to use: Log in with the Google account that already manages your Business Profile.

- My gmail: dcox.4Adventure.com (use this for the invite).

- Recommended role: Manager access.

Desktop instructions (business.google.com)

1. Sign in:
2. Go to business.google.com and sign in to the correct Google account.
3. Select your business:
4. If you manage multiple locations, choose the correct business or location from the left sidebar.
5. Open Users:
6. Click Users in the left menu.
7. Invite new user:
8. Click Add or Invite new user.
9. Enter dcox.4adventure@gmail.com.
10. Choose role:
11. Select Manager. If you prefer, you can choose Owner for full control.
12. Send invite:
13. Click Invite. I’ll receive an email to accept.
14. Confirm:
15. After I accept, you’ll see me listed under Users with the chosen role.

Mobile instructions (Google Maps app)

1. Open Google Maps:
2. Make sure you are signed in with the account that manages your profile.
3. Access your Business Profile:
4. Tap your profile photo.
5. Tap Your Business Profiles and choose the correct business.
6. Open profile tools:
7. Tap Edit profile or Business tools.
8. Manage users:
9. Tap Business Profile settings.
10. Tap Managers or Users.
11. Invite:
12. Tap Add.
13. Enter dcox.4adventure@gmail.com
14. Choose Manager and send the invite.

Role guidance

• Manager: Can edit info, add posts, respond to messages and reviews.
• Owner: Full control, including adding or removing users and critical settings.

If you don’t see Users

• Wrong account: Switch to the email originally used to set up your Business Profile.
• Profile not verified: Complete or update verification to unlock user management.
• Multiple locations: Select the exact location before opening Users.
• Still stuck: Reply to this email, and I’ll share a quick screen recording tailored to your setup.

What I’ll handle once added

• Profile accuracy: Name, hours, services, photos.
• Engagement: Posts, Q&A, reviews.
• Optimization: Categories, attributes, and ongoing updates.
